Sam & Kathy have had a heart for missions for many years, in many different parts of the world prior to officially founding HOPE2 in 2010 and focusing their efforts in Liberia, Africa.  They have both made many trips to Liberia and more recently, Uganda, building relationships and investing into the lives of all they encounter.  Additionally, they cast the vision and serve daily alongside the many volunteers, staff, and missionaries that make up the ministry of HOPE2. 

Drew has been involved with HOPE2 since his first mission trip to Liberia in 2013. Following this he chose to do his Ball State University capstone internship with us in March of 2017, allowing him to spend 6 weeks developing a soccer field to be utilized by the community while simultaneously building relationships. In February of 2023 Drew felt called to ministry and accepted a full-time position with HOPE2 and is eager to serve both in the states and abroad!

After her first mission trip in 2018, Jordan answered the calling to become more involved with HOPE2. She continued to go on trips and took a volunteer position running social media and co-writing our newsletter. The Rabenstein family spent the first half of 2021 in Liberia as missionaries. Upon returning to America she took on a full-time position with HOPE2.  Jordan has a passion for loving others, building relationships and watching God create beauty from broken people.  

Sonny & Tenneh along with their three daughters Grace, Lulu and Eve, have lived at and managed the Hope Campus in Liberia since early 2013.  Besides caring for their own children, Sonny & Tenneh are always caring for and loving on all the children in the nearby villages. Their hearts for God and His kingdom work encourage and inspire all the team members who have the pleasure of serving alongside them.

Lindsey is currently serving in Liberia. After living there for a year in 2018 and helping to start up the HOPE2 medical clinic, she again felt and answered the call of God on her life in 2021 to be an in-country missionary. Her passion for the youth has led her to start our HYM Program (Hope Youth Ministries) at Hope Academy as well as leading multiple children’s programs a week in surrounding villages. Lindsey continues to enjoy loving and serving our local community in Marshall.   

Seokin & Esther were both born in Liberia, Africa and have been in ministry together for over 37 years.  God crossed their paths with HOPE2 in early 2016 and they became part of the team in November 2016.  They currently spend half of the year in the United States and the other half in Liberia. Seokin and Esther have been a part of planting churches both in the U.S. and in Liberia, as their passion is to train others for kingdom work and to disciple them in their walk with the Lord.  

Edward and his wife Jacinter currently reside in Rakai Town, Uganda and oversee Goodwill Primary School and Orphanage. Edward Mbuyi is many things, but none greater than a servant unto the Lord. We have been serving with him since 2017. Edward’s passion for the Lord’s mission is powerfully contagious. He has been on mission with HOPE2 in several countries around Africa. Over the next 10 years, Edward will be traveling with us to every country in Africa training church leaders. We see the love of God flowing through Edward and everything he does.
